The Space:
An entrance hall with mirrored wardrobes leads to an open plan kitchen/living dining area with stylish white-washed floorboards throughout. There’s a dining table for 4 people, a ‘smart’ TV and a sofa which folds out to a bed, bringing the sleeping capacity of the apartment to 4 people if desired. The kitchen comes equipped with stone benchtops, a Fisher & Paykel medium-sized fridge, LG dishwasher, microwave, Bosch Oven and electric cooktop. Floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors lead out to a sizable balcony with expansive urban views.
A carpeted bedroom is off the entrance hall and comes with a double bed, its own ‘smart’ TV, large built-in wardrobes and plantation shutters to control the light flow. The bathroom has a combined bathtub/shower with a frameless glass screen and floor-to ceiling tiling. There’s also a dedicated laundry room with a washing machine and separate dryer.
The apartment building itself offers a barbecue area, a heated 25 metre lap pool and fully equipped gym with sauna.
The Neighborhood:
Less than 3 kilometres from the Sydney CBD (Downtown), Surry Hills has a vibrant, evolving cultural, café and arts scene. Terrace houses have been converted into popular eateries, fashion boutiques and bars – check out nearby buzzy Crown Street and see what’s on offer. Lovers of live performance will appreciate the Belvoir Street Theatre located only a 4 minute stroll from the apartment. Oxford Street is 15 minutes’ walk away, home to more Sydney’s world famous Mardi Gras parade. Prince Alfred Park is just 7 minutes on foot, including the Prince Alfred swimming pool. Fox Studios and the Sydney Cricket Ground are both about 20 minutes walk away.
Getting Around:
There is no dedicated car space for the apartment, only timed street parking. Walking or public transport is recommended, with bus and light rail services nearby going to the CBD (Downtown) and the University of NSW. It’s also less than 10 minutes walk to major transport hub Central Station, where you can catch regular train or bus services around metropolitan Sydney, regional New South Wales or even interstate.
Other Things to Note:
* Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There's ongoing work to the exterior of the building that shouldn't take much longer, but there is scaffolding currently up so although you still get a view, it is obstructed to a degree.
* Extra $40/night will be charged for guests after 2 or if the sofa bed needs to be prepared.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
*After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
* Please note that this property has been specifically catered for short-term rentals by MaisonNets and is not a hotel.
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.
