Pros and Cons to this location
This location had some pros and cons. Pros, the location is high up in the mountains with some great views on the drive, but not truly from the cabin. The cabin is large, spacious and fit a family of four nicely. Appliances were nice and kitchen was well appointed with tools. The tv in the living room was large, and appeared to have cable, so it was easy to use. A few cons. This location has no extras-not so much as a coffee filter or salt and pepper left over from another guest. So be prepared to bring everything. The closest grocery is on the other side of Gatlinburg, where traffic can get very congested, so plan to buy groceries on the way in. The driveway is also very steep and several rodes around the cabin are very steep-if you do not have four wheel drive or snow tires, I would not book this location during winter or ice seasons. I also wish the linens on the bedding were better quality and that they used a fitted bottom sheet instead of a flat sheet-it caused the sheets to get tangled and I was constantly trying to smooth out wrinkles while sleeping. I also wish they had larger towels since there is a hot tub-the towels barely fit around an adult, so going outside in the cold, you can’t really wrap yourself in a towel. Overall for this location, you are paying to be close to town and for the hot tub.
