The property was well used and tired and could do with some repairs and upkeep

Air conditioner broken and only two fans for five bedrooms. Only five towels provided and no additional linens even though listing said “sleeps 16.” No lights or working outlets in living room.
Keypad entry made access easy and host responded promptly with batteries when we expressed concerns that the keypad might need them.
Comfortable needed a place to fit my family and I love the space and area
We love the space it gives to relax after the day of learning about our present environment through Gods Word

Beautiful home, host lacking in communication
Home beautiful, upkeep poor. Plug in in kitchen hanging out of wall. One set of towels per person. Cooking ware was poor and needs to be replaced. Host mentioned recycling in email, but no instructions as to what is recycled in Canada. Kitchen counter tops were dirty. No heat, furnace either doesn't work or is turned off. Gas fireplaces had no fan to help circulate heat from them. Yard was over grown and not cared for. I suggest host sells the house to someone who wants to care for it and love it, not just use it for money income. Downstairs bedroom could use a wardrobe and dresser, instead of two couches.

Bear Mountain - May Long
House is huge - spacious for our family. But some things disappointed. Toilet seats did not fit toilets - some weren’t fastened properly and were dangerous. There was only one dish towel. Cooking pots weren’t usable - no lids, one burnt beyond use. No mirrors in bedrooms. Hodge podge of dishes, cutlery and utensils - some dirty. No instructions for how to use TV, heating, gas fireplace. Couldn’t get fireplace to work. Heating made horrendous noise - kept us awake. Garden furniture and bbq dirty. Outside area uninviting. Not enough bedding or towels.

I like the place it's huge, nice and quiet. But the cleaner didn't clean it properly we saw some garbage underneath the beds. And didn't vaccum very well. We leave the house clean.
This is a large house in a resort village about 20 minutes from Victoria. We were looking for a place that could handle 7-8 guests and this was great, had plenty of beds for everyone and enough bathrooms. House was clean. The heating didn’t work while we stayed and the owner was very responsive and offered to have a technician come take a look (but the gas fireplaces did the trick just fine.) Only things I’d want to improve the stay was extra towels, extra blankets, extra sheets, spare toilet paper, spare paper towels, Kleenex, those types of sundries.
