Fantastic Place to Stay!

I have stayed at this property twice. Once in the summer of 2014 and again last month. We stayed again because the property is perfect for us. I would start by saying - LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is a mile to the beach and about the same to town. We live on our bicycles all week and ride on the beautiful bike trail right outside of Aldea Zama. Not far from the condo is HUGE store, much like a Walmart, where you can get everything - groceries, clothing, toiletries etc. The condo is perfect with the spacious two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We love having a living room for relaxing and the beautiful fully equipped kitchen for breakfast, snacks and evening meals if we choose. We prefer a condo stay versus a hotel because it feels more like home. There is also a really nice roof top area with a hot tub and BBQ. We do not use it much, but next year we may spend more time up there. We prefer the penthouse because it is quiet and away from the pool activity. It is also really quiet at night so we always get a good night's sleep. There is air conditioning in every room and a flat screen TV. You could not ask for anything else. The pool and the pool area is absolutely gorgeous. There are even restrooms by the pool so you do not have to go back to your condo. The photos on this site tell the story and you will not be disappointed. Last but not least, I cannot say enough about Daniella who manages this property. She is very responsive, helpful, very sweet, and knows a lot about the area. I always felt confident in our interaction and trusted her completely. I can't wait to book for next year!

Perfect home base for a family vacation - condo unit was above expectations!

We chose Aldea Zama due to its location between the beach and town, our need for reliable WIFI (not always found on the beach, but necessary in our situation to touch base with work), and desire to be able to have the amenities of a kitchen. This unit far exceeded our expectations! From the initial inquiry, our contact Daniella was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I was very wary this being my first VRBO experience, but she set my mind to ease, answering all questions and being available before and during our stay for any requests. The unit itself is perfect - little things like quality bath towels, beach towels, coolers and umbrella for use, a high-end blender that actually crushes ice, complete set of good cookware, glasses, etc.... all made our visit that much more enjoyable. The AC worked great. The WIFI was a surprise at how good the connectivity was. We used the bikes a few times to go to the beach, and Daniella made sure they were all tuned up and ready to go for us. The path was fine to ride during the day, but I would never attempt at dark - absolutely no lighting. The unit was a 5 minute drive to the beach and 3 minute drive to town, and the grocery store is a two-minute drive down the road and has Everything! We always felt safe at Aldea Zama, the pool was very clean and refreshing. There is a water cooler in the condo that lasts several days and easy to refill at a convenience store down the road. The unit was incredibly quiet at night and completely secure. I would sit out on the deck each morning and plan our day. There was a lot of construction going on surrounding the building, but it never interfered or intruded with our plans or posed any kind of noise issue. Favorite beach: Playa Paraiso; fav restaurant for drinks and food: Mezzanine; favorite outings: Coba, (rent the bikes) and San Actun cenote tour (#1 highlight of our visit). I rented a car through Avant and they were great - many hours researching this. Kids (20 and 23) used the playstation a few times; there was nice TV but we never had on. If you are considering this unit, email Daniella, and feel free to ask her any questions. She was a joy to work with. I wish she lived closer to me and had more properties around the world that she managed. Condo on 3rd floor but steps were not an issue for us and worth the higher view. Complete A+ review!

Peaceful stay

This is the first time we stayed with Vrbo and first time bringing family with us to Tulum. We love Tulum and this condo was perfect for our stay. Cozy, convenient, greatly located close to the local store, town, and the beach. Let us not forget the property manager Rosalina who made us feel at home and was super helpful with anything we needed. We come home rested and happy, and will come stay again!

Comfortable unit and quiet location

Gerry's apartment is very comfortable and has everything you will need during your stay. Rosy, the onsite manager is very helpful and available whenever you have a question. The complex has 24 units, so is small and we had the pool to ourselves nearly every day. The location of this unit is also handy. Close to everything. Rent bikes from ibikes. They have the best ones. Some of the bikes don't have brakes (back peddle brake) but the ones from ibikes did and most of them are brand new! We visited Tulum ruins, Coba ruins and Chichen Itza (don't bother with this one. It's like Disneyworld and there are vendors literally everywhere) Tulum ruins and Coba ruins are just beautiful to visit because of their location. We also visited a couple of Cenotes nearby. We highly recommend Choo-Ha (and there are 2 others right there) which is right near the Coba ruins and then, the experience of Cenote de monos in the Cenotes Dos Ojos park was outstanding. Ask for Cheeto as your guide (this involves donning a wet suit, snorkel and life jacket and exploring the magnificent caves).

Great apartment close to beach

The apartment is large with nice furnitures and amenities. We stayed there with our two kids, great with two bedrooms with one bathroom each. As we rented a car it was perfect for us to park just outside the condo and then drive the short way to the beach or to one of the many activities nearby. Rosy, who met us on arrival, gave us many good suggestions for activities and restaurants and was always available if we had a question. Nice with the pool and the roof terrace incl barbeque. Only potential draw back is that it is never sun at the pool area, so if you would like to sun bathe you are better off at the beach. The condo feels super safe and was calm and quiet.

Condo was perfect for my family of 5, we loved our stay!

Had a wonderful stay in Tulum, family of 5 with two teenagers. We loved staying at Aldea Zama! Condo was perfect for us, more quiet then staying in town or down at the beach! Enjoyed the roof deck! We rented a car and spent a lot of time exploring Tulum and surrounding areas. Visits to the Ruins, Grand Cenote, day trip to Muyil, great time exploring the beaches, shopping in Tulum, day at Xel-Ha which was great fun, ran out of time but so much more to explore! Rosy was fantastic and readily available if needed.

Everything we wanted and then some.

We visited Tulum and stayed at this beautiful property. We are a family of 4 and found the condo to be exactly as described. We where very comfortable and didn't experience any problems at all. Before our trip communication with Gerry the owner was pleasant and he put us in contact with Rosie the property manager who sent us a much appreciated package of info about the property as well as recommendations on things to do and places to eat. She also met us at our arrival and gave some great tips on how to get around Tulum and the surrounding area. We found the location to be perfect. Its very easy to get to the beach road and also to town. The condo is about half way between both. We felt very comfortable in this very clean well equipped condo and would definitely return should we make it back to Tulum. Thank you Gerry !!!

Great spot for family of 4

We spent a week here with our two sons who are 15 and 17. This condo is located in a development of condos btwn the beach/hotel area and town. We rented a car, although I imagine you could take taxis or rent bikes as well to get around. The photos accurately show what the unit looks like. What you can't know as a traveler looking at photos, though, is how clean it will be, whether the beds will be comfortable, what the wifi is like, or how well the AC will work. We were happy to find that it was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was fast, and the AC was great. Rosy, the property manager is a pro, and helped us get acclimated not just to the condo complex, but to Tulum in general. She has a wealth of knowledge. As a family who likes to do and see a lot when we travel, this location worked well for us. We spent a few days at various beach clubs, and the rest of the time visiting nearby archeological sites, cenotes, and town. Overall a great stay!

lovely spacious apartment

Rosy the property manager was so helpful during our stay. The unit was clean, spacious and quiet and the property amenities were really nice. The location was not far from the beach or town and was in a very nice and quiet location. I would definitely recommend this place to others that are visiting Tulum and want to not be in the middle of the beach crowds. Central location and easy to get to everything.

Super location and immaculate condo

We spent Christmas at Jerry's Condo, and it could not have been more perfect. The property manager Rosy was a lovely lady who helped us with everything. Nothing was left to chance and everything was well communicated and looked after. The unit had everything we could have asked for, and we spent lots of time on the rooftop patio - even BBQ'd and had our Christmas dinner up there which was very special for our family. It was clean, well decorated, and had a lovely ambiance. The palm Christmas tree was a nice touch. Most VRBO's and Air B&B's forget the most important thing - the primary use is to sleep, and that means a comfortable mattress is key! These were very comfy mattresses - thank you for that! The pool was awesome and refreshing, the complex was quiet and relaxing. We spent a lot of our time at the beach and touring around the area (Coba ruins is an easy drive, Akumel and Yul Ka close by for snorkeling, cenotes minutes away, and the Tulum beach areas with their great restaurants, shops, and "Boho Chic" vibe are unique to anywhere we have been to date!). Shopping for food and basics was a cinch, and everything you need is very close by. We felt safe and relaxed pretty much everywhere around the condo neighbourhood, and Tulum in general, and we have 3 young adult daughters! I hope future guests treat this home as if it was their own, because it certainly felt like home for us!

Exactly what we wanted!

My husband and I stayed here for one month starting January 11'16. We loved it. The condo is well laid out for comfort and space, making relaxing and cooking pleasurable. Everything one needs for making a great meal is available in the well stocked kitchen. The deck overlooking the pool is huge and a perfect place for spending time doing whatever you enjoy; like watching sunrise, enjoying meals, having morning coffee, afternoon wine, doing puzzles, reading, watching colourful birds, etc. We appreciated having the upper deck for afternoon quiet and leisure. The pool was beautiful, never crowded, always refreshing several times a day and very well maintained. Biking with the bikes provided and walking were our means of transport and we thoroughly loved it, rain or shine. We have rented many properties and we both agree that Daniella is the perfect property manager. She went above and beyond, and turning our holiday into a phenomenal experience. We love you, Daniella!

Wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aldea Zama. The layout is great, the amenities were first rate. They provided beach towels, beach chairs and even wine and beer to welcome our arrival. There is a lovely pool, though we never used it. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works well and over all it is a great place for the price. The location is half way between town and the beach. If it's not too hot you could ride bikes to each, however if it's blazing sun, we would not have wanted to and were glad the have a car. Parking at the beach is a bit difficult, but we found if we arrived early we could get a spot and stay for the day. The area of Tulum is wonderful. Lots to do and things to see. We would stay again if we return. Thanks so much.

We love Aldea Zama

We have stayed in Aldea Zama two times when visiting Tulum. We would highly recommend staying at this property as it offers privacy, security and most of the amenities one could need. Our property manager made our stay that much more comfortable. She made sure we had everything we needed and stayed in communication the entire time. The location of this property is perfect - easy access to the beach, to restaurants, to town and to the grocery store (the Chedraui) which was always a fun adventure!! The condo was spacious and provided us with everything we needed to cook several meals at home. Air conditioners were present in every room to keep us cool as well as a beautiful swimming pool in the center courtyard. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful condo for your next visit. You will not be disappointed!

Up and coming hotspot

We rented the condo for 12 days and really enjoyed our time there. It was very clean and well equipped to the point of spices in the cupboard and wine in the fridge. Initially we were a little bit apprehensive about the distance to town and to the beach but after a few days of riding our bikes to both areas, we found it to be no issue at all. In fact, we were happy to get the extra exercise and the location was perfect. The rooftop deck was an added bonus!!! Daniella, the Property Manager was very efficient and friendly. Overall we loved the property and will return.

Beautiful and comfortable!

We rented this condo for 9 days at the end of February and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The place was immaculate, very comfortable and beautiful. It is a pretty quiet condo complex (we had a couple noisy neighbors but the placement of the bedrooms at the back of the condo made sleeping no problem). The rooftop terrace was an especial treat, with a private palapa dining area, bbq, sink and hot tub! The kitchen was decently equipped but could have a few more items to make cooking at home a little easier. The beds were very comfortable and there is AC in every room. The pool was also fantastic, very pretty and refreshing. Best of all were the little touches provided, a bottle of wine and chocolates awaited us, and 2 big jugs of water saved us a heavy hike. The building watchman was also very helpful and kind in spite of the language barrier. Only a few minutes to the beach you can rent a bike or drive and a few minutes the other way to Tulum village and other attractions like the cenotes and ruins. We rented snorkel equipment up the road for a very good price and also ate great local food. I would recommend this to anyone - for the same price as a sandy shack with a smelly toilet on the beach you can stay in luxury and comfort here.

Tulum in the Jungle

The apartment is well looked after and in a nice setting with a lovely pool and the surrounding jungle filled with butterflies and birds, yet very near both Tulum town and the beach. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the abthrooms excellent. The roof terrace with the jacuzzi is definitely a bonus on days when you don't want to go to the beach.
