Superb villa that has a magnifiscient view of the sea. Woke up with monkeys and perrots, took my coffee in the hamac and very close to superb beach and Manuel Antonio Park. Highly recommend it!
Loved this location and unit
Close to main road - bus
Walked to restaurants close by
Convenience store and bank roght there!
Would stay again!
Monkeys almost everyday
Our third time staying in this complex. Not many places in Manuel Antonio have a nice ocean view. Great location. Nice pool but steps to get to it. Property is older but as advertised on VRBO. Good value.
Pros: the view (ocean, forest, monkeys and birds from your balcony), the pool, the location - close to restaurant and not too far from the park, some nice touches such as the games, the hammock, the binoculars for spotting wildlife.
Cons: could use some renovations and be prepared for mosquitos if you are planning to dinner in the balcony
We had a very nice stay. Richard’s notes were very helpful. Henry (the manager) arranged for a catamaran ride for us which was super fun. We also had a private tour in the park and hiked at Rainmaker. We would definitely come back.
This is a brilliantly located apartment for a visit to Manuel Antonio, the beaches and the National Park. The view is simply amazing. It’s in a small complex of apartments with a nice pool but no hassle from neighbours. Walking distance to a range of shops, bars and restaurants (check out the falafel bar for sure!) Accomodation is simple - 2 double beds, shower, kitchen with microwave, toaster and coffee machine. Not luxurious but perfectly adequate. Would recommend!
Our family of four had a great time here. We loved hanging out on the balcony, enjoying the wonderful view and bird watching. The kitchen allowed us to cook full meals. The bedroom fit all four of us nicely. Parking was easy. The pool was also great. We didn’t know we had to book tickets to Manuel Antonio national park a week in advance so we weren’t able to visit but we hope to come back! We would definitely stay here again!
Loved the location and the set up
2 double beds and nice seating area inside and beautiful patio with large table and hammock that we all wanted to use … a second hammock would be great!
Supposed to have 4 bath towels and 4 beach but were always short 2 beach
There is a cleaning service every two days to change towels
Henry was great and quick to reply when needed something
Close to restaurants souvenirs shops and super market
5 minutes bus ride to the beach
Great place would recommend
Thank you Anna and Richard
This is our second stay here at this place. It has the most amazing view! The big table on the porch is perfect for eating and playing games. We could walk to many restaurants and easily jump on the bus to the beach and the restaurants down there! The sunset at the beach is amazing! We had monkeys on the roof many days, saw the macaws daily, heard the howlers and actually saw them in the trees, and in the park saw many sloths, iguanas and monkeys! My only recommendation is to have some cleaning supplies in case you have a spill or something. We spilled some juice but I didn't want to use the kitchen sponge on the floor. Otherwise, this is a great place and a great location!
Place was as advertised in the photos. Owner provided a 7 page info sheet on travel from airport including recommendations on where to buy alcohol and getting dollars exchanged for paying tolls. Also included on the info sheet were things to do once were were there. Had to query the property manager for two of the three codes. Need codes for upper gate, key box next to the door (15 lower), and swimming pool gate. Recommend on info sheet adding 8th page with an aerial shot marking where the parking spots are and where the unit’s door is. Once parked, the written directions makes sense. But driving in for the first time we were guessing if we were parking where we should be parking.
The villa was in a wonderful location where we could walk to multiple restaurants and multiple grocery stores. Public transportation (only 410CRC!) gets you from Quepos all the way to Manuel Antonio beach.
The unit includes a fully stocked kitchen so we could prep breakfasts and frozen drinks. A/C in the bedroom was perfect for beating the heat so we could actually sleep. There are 3 ceiling fan that helps with cooling. We spent all of our evenings on the balcony playing board games and hanging on the hammock. The view from the balcony overlooks the forest and ocean, which was wonderful. Live music could be heard every night, but always finished by 10 pm. Would bring bug spray next time as something was biting us around the wrists and ankles. We did have trouble getting hot water, so our showers were quick.
Pool was warm and we spent our afternoons down here. Only 5 lounging chairs are available, but didn't have a problem getting one. Pool photo is inaccurate as no hot tub there anymore. But with how hot it was, we wouldn't have used the hot tub. No BBQ grill available.
The owners sent out an information package with lots of useful information before we left for our trip, which was very helpful. The manager helped us book an excursion on a catamaran.

Manuel Antonio Paradise!
We stayed here in March of 2018 for a week. We took the bus from San Jose and had a great trip over! We loved how easy and inexpensive it was and I wanted the kids to experience public travel in a new country! The view in the picture is exactly what you look at as soon as you open the door and it's almost impossible to stop looking at it!! The condo is good sized and we felt perfectly comfortable. The fridge is a great size and there's a grocery store a hop skip and a jump away! We used the big table every night to play Monopoly! The kids learned to disconnect and instead we connected! The city bus is really easy to use, inexpensive, and goes right to the national park! The public beach is a fun experience, but pretty crowded and has bigger waves. The national park is a bit of a walk to get in, but SO worth it once you're there! The water is clear, the waves are fun but more calm, the surroundings are pristine and the monkeys are just awesome! We walked past the first beach to the actual Manuel Antonio beach and we saw just tons of monkeys! To come home to this place was relaxing and the air conditioning was a real treat! David, who manages the complex, is helpful, kind, and very welcoming! The restaurants are amazing, but pretty expensive and since we were there for spring break, they were pretty crowded. We searched out smaller more local places and found the BEST Casado ever at El Angel! It's like a delicious home cooked meal ! We went back twice! Costa Rican people are amazing people and so kind and helpful! We can't wait to go back!!!
Pros: The apt/condo was clean and comfortable for two people. We had everything we needed. It was nice to hang out on the very large porch in the early morning and afternoon to relax and view wildlife. We saw Macaws fly by all day and had visits from Capuchin Monkeys right on the roof in front of us. The Howler Monkeys woke us every morning. The location of the condo is perfect for wildlife, walking distance to fantastic restaurants and easy access to the city bus which can take you to the beaches. and park.
Possible con: You do need to be aware and able to navigate the many stairs to the pool and or your vehicle if parked below.
Con: nothing against the condo itself, but maybe the entire complex: We did not want to spend too much time at the pool due to a sewer smell. We would use it after returning from our day at the beach, but did not want to spend more time than taking a quick dip.
Good location, restaurants & amenities. Can hear the birds and monkeys, great views from the hammock! Our family (especially our 2 children) enjoyed the games, pool & stay!!

Okay
We are a family of three and this place was great for us. The only downside was the pool was closed while there even though it was advertised and never informed that it would be closed. No big deal though. Walking distance to so many good restaurants! Plus a great super mercado right next door. We explored all the nearby beaches and did a tour of the park. All of it was convenient from here, but we did have a car. We always found a parking spot despite the business. We had monkeys come up to the patio and the view is amazing.
Our experience with Anna and Richard's apartment was great. Good instructors before getting to the place, lots of support from property manager Henry. The only issue was unreliable internet - if this is an important aspect, I would consider having a Plan B for that. Otherwise, location, view, amenities and overall experience was great. Thank you.
100% recomendado
We fell in love with the country in the late 90's. We purchased the villa in 2010. We have been down over 50 times in those 12 years.
