About this property

Red Peaks is in a fabulous location with views

Discover Red Peaks, your warm and welcoming holiday retreat where every room has stunning lake & mountain views and there is ample space to unwind. Relax in comfort with stylish furnishings and quality beds, customisable to your groups’ needs. Red Peaks is just minutes from town yet serene and peaceful.
No car no problem; the bus service stops every 15 minutes 100m from the house dropping you in town to connect with the Coronet and Remarkables Ski Bus or whatever adventure you have planned.

Someone from The Butler is just a phone call away.

Red Peaks is well located at the town end of Fernhill. A short walk (150m) to the west is the Fernhill Dairy and Convenience Store, famous Chur Fish & Chip Shop, Lokal Kitchen & Bar, and Nest Kitchen + Bar. Head to the east and you pass the bus stop 50m from the house and a further 200m is the Fernhill Reserve with children’s playground and picnic area, and access to the world famous Fernhill walking tracks and Wynward Bike Park.

Guests have full and private access to the whole house and garden including the new, large, lockable storage shed at the rear of the carport, which is perfect for storing bikes, golf clubs & ski/snow gear.

Red Peaks is a recently renovated, warm and comfortable holiday retreat. The space is light and bright with freshly painted walls and new furnishings.

The living area captures great sun and has beautiful views of the lake and mountains. An extra treat is the cozy reading nook under the stairs which also captures the view and is a perfect spot for enjoying a good book while lounging on the New Zealand sheepskin beanbag.

The living area is connected to the dining area which opens onto the newly built deck. There is art throughout Red Peaks and above the dining table is a large artistic map of the Queenstown area and biking and hiking trails. Whether planning your day over breakfast or debriefing over dinner, this is a lovely addition to your stay.

The deck features a Weber barbeque, outdoor dining for six and casual seating, as well as stunning lake views and mountain views in all directions.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, and the four bar stools around the kitchen bench create a social atmosphere perfect for chatting while dinner is being prepared.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room and access to the back yard and secure storage shed for sporting gear if required.

The master bedroom is downstairs, off a short hallway which can be closed off offering privacy and peace and quiet. There is a renovated bathroom including freestanding bath adjacent to the bedroom. All the bedrooms are large, have new super comfortable king size beds, wardrobe space and views to the lake.

Upstairs the landing area has two single beds, ideal to use if you have a group of friends not wanting to share beds (these beds are only to be used if pre-arranged with The Butler). The two bedrooms upstairs have desk spaces with lake views and the king beds can be split into singles if required (please advise needs when booking). This means all six guests can have their own beds. The upstairs bedrooms also have their own bathroom.

Outside, the landscaped garden offers even more breathtaking views and space to play, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Experience comfort, convenience, and stunning surroundings at Red Peaks Retreat – your perfect Queenstown getaway awaits!

Host's Hospitality
Peaceful and Quiet Environment
Ideal for Groups and Families

Red Peaks is 2.1 kilometres to town which is a 4 to 5 minute drive or 6 minute bus trip. The bus stop is a one minute walk from the house and the bus leaves every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes from 7pm until midnight. You can walk into town by footpath or forest walking tracks. It takes around 30 minutes in and 40 – 45 minutes coming back up the hill. If you have your bike its about 8 minutes down to town and 17 minutes coming back up the hill.

There is ample room for secure storage of ski / snow gear, bikes (x 8) or golf clubs in a new, large storage shed at the back of the house. The shed has been installed with lighting and power, perfect for charging e-bikes.

Covered off street parking is provided.

For those without a car it is easy to explore for $2 per adult (with a registered Bee card) on the Queenstown Bus Network which stops 100m from Red Peaks. Get your Bee Card for $5 from Paper Plus at the airport, the iSite Visitor Centre in town or on the bus (cash only). Leaving every 15 minutes you can even bus in from the airport, just look for the Sunshine Bay bus.

The 2 single beds in the upstairs common area are not to be used unless pre-arranged with The Butler - extra charges may apply if you use these.

The internal stairs are steeper than usual so please take care, especially with children. Young children will also need watching if playing in the common space at the top of the stairs or outside in the garden on the lovely lawn which is unfenced.

For families traveling with little ones, we offer the convenience of hiring a portacot and highchair when booking. Just let us know your needs, and we'll take care of the rest.

Perfect for a Girls MTB Trip
Red Peaks delivered all the comforts of home and more! Stunning views, beautiful decor and everything we could possibly want and need for our stay. Our group loved the cosy and comfortable ease of Red Peaks - enjoying meals on the deck and soaking up the stunning views of the Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. The bus stop near the front door made getting to and from town or Arrowtown super easy. Easy access to Wynyard Jump Park, Fernhill Tracks and Skyline, along with a lock up shed for all our bikes! 10/10 will definitely book again.

Red Peaks
Cottage absolutely beautiful and confortable. However the photo of the house is deceiving and we thought it was set well back from the road which was very busy and noisy. The blinds in the bedrooms did not block out the headlights of the cars, maybe some thick curtains would help with this.

Perfect! 10/10
Red Peaks provided the perfect base for our weekend away! Located right on the bus route making getting to and from town/airport super easy. Red Peaks was cosy and warm, clean and tidy, with all the comforts of home eg: super comfortable beds. Loved how well thought out this property is! Views from every window of the gorgeous mountain surrounds! Can't wait to come back over the summer for some MTB'ing! The local store, just up the road provides everything you need and more, while the Lokal restaurant and Chur Fish'n Chips are a must-try! This property is awesome!
