This space is covered with gorgeous knotty pine, giving it a distinct mountain feel, with all the extras to make you feel nice and cozy. This includes easy-to-use gas logs in the fireplace, a wood-burning stove, a SmartTV along with cable, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you'd need to prepare meals. All beds will be made, and towels provided for each guest.
FAMILY FRIENDLY
To make the house more family friendly, we do provide a Pack 'n Play, a highchair, a hiking backpack, as well as a collection of children's books and toys for your use while staying here.

We are always accessible via phone and email throughout your stay, though the house is all yours so we won't be in your way. Please note we are humans, and while we always aim to respond as quickly as possible to your messages, there are occasions where we are at dinner, in a meeting, etc. and won't be available to answer immediately. We will always get back to you as quickly as we possibly can!
I fell in love with this specific section of the mountains long before we bought the cozy cabin, mostly due to its proximity to so many local attractions! We're equidistant from Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock, leaving you with lots (and lots!) of options for things to do, places to eat, and outdoors to explore.
*WEATHER*
Like most cabins in this area, we are on a mountain. This provides a beautiful, secluded location, but does mean we recommend 4WD vehicles in the winter in case of snow or extreme weather. We can not predict or control weather, so we don't offer refunds due to inclement weather. Please keep this in mind when booking, and if this is a concern we recommend purchasing travel insurance.
Our house is located in a neighborhood, overlooking a valley. Sound travels when outside on the decks, and our next door neighbors are full-time residents. The house is a perfect fit for families and retreats, and normal talking, etc. is absolutely fine, but is not a great fit for large groups or parties/events where excess noise might be made. We appreciate your respect and helping us maintain a strong relationship with our neighbors.
PETS
The cabin is dog friendly, but we do ask that pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds without a blanket covering the furniture. Dogs are also not allowed in the basement due to the carpeting. We have put up a baby gate on those stairs to help make this easier, but if there is evidence of pets in the basement you will be charged. Please be respectful of the space when it comes to pets to make it easier on our cleaners, as well as protect the space for future guests without pets.
