Super time, great fishing and family fun was terrific. Plenty of room in the cabin and the family sitting at the kitchen table for our meals was so great.
Our stay at Conro's resort was wonderful. We stayed in the large guest house, with 5 bedrooms, and there was room for all of our extended family, including 6 small children. The place was wonderful for the children (ages 3-8) --the playground had a lot of trucks available to play with in the sand, they loved the game room with foosball and air hockey and other games, and there was an area to play basketball or volleyball. The beach area was perfect for playing in the water, with a sandy beach area and shallow water, lots of sand toys provided, and a variety of boats--canoes, kayaks, kids' kayaks, paddleboats, and stand up paddleboards--available for everyone to try. The kitchen in the cabin was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. Communication was easy and Tim and his family responded to any questions and needs we had. The only concern we had was that the list of amenities was not clear on the website; we checked in advance to ask what was provided and learned we had to bring our own towels, which wasn't a big problem, but would have been if we hadn't known ahead of time! There is a little diner very close by that some of our group went to one evening, which they said was good. The town isn't too far away, so if you forget something, it's not too hard to find a grocery store. We definitely recommend this place!
Highly recommend Conros Resort. Tim was a pleasure to work with.

Decent place to stay
The place was fine for our fishing group. Bathrooms were ki d of small. Pictures of listing were misleading. If looked like land was flat (it wasn't) and closer to water than it was. We had fun but didn't catch many fish. Nothing big caught.
What a perfect long weekend getaway from the big city. The house had everything we needed, the dock was perfect for lounging and the fire pit was fantastic for smores every night. Beds were comfy. We were originally supposed to rent the 3 bedroom but the owner had a mixup and put us in the 5 bedroom. It was so nice and appreciated we could even bring our dog. I look forward to bringing more friends and family back in the future, Fantastic stay.
The resort property is great for kids with a Rainbow playset, big sand box with lots of toys large and small and sand volleyball court. a nice beach and clean water although there was a bit of algae. the lakes are shallow with dark water (tannin stain) but very clean; our weather wasn't great so fishing wasn't great either.
We were in the big house with a nice fireplace we took advantage of plus an outdoor firepit with chairs, s'mores spears (or hot dog), a nice long poker(!) and plentiful wood (although a small charge). there was minimal wi-fi in the house - could just pick it up at the window; Tim said he was looking into improving it.
the master bath was great - small but well done with a nice new shower, new toilet and sink. No bathtub in the house. The other two bathrooms are ok but the space between the toilet and wall is tight. Beds were generally comfortable.
we were told to make ourselves at home and take advantage of the ground and water toys and we did. very comfortable place to be. we tried out the paddle boards, kayaks and canoe and took the pontoon boat for a tour of the lake. (our 18' runabout hit rocks in the channels between Moen and lakes 2 and 3 at a very slow speed. so we backtracked carefully and pulled it out.)
All in all a nice stay and a place we would considered for another trip north!
Tim was very prompt meeting our few needs.

This was the perfect place for our girls getaway.
The cabin we rented was clean, and comfortable.
Tim & April are perfect host.
Moen Lake was beautiful.
Nice place for a large group. Only thing I would have liked is closer to the water. Someone like me with bad hips had a hard time with the hill. Guys loved the fishing and had a big fish fry!!
This property was just the right fit for our family. I wish we had more time to take advantage of all the amenities!! This place could sleep a large family with plenty of couch and chair seating for everyone!! Such a cute cottage and quiet location.

Part of Resort -- Great Beach!
We had a lot of fun at Conros Resort.
Cons
- Not actually ON the lake. You just walk down a hill, so it's extremely close, but you can't watch the kids at the beach from the kitchen. (This is actually a pro if you have little ones that you don't want wandering down there)
- No A/C - We were here in the hottest week of the year, most of the time it wouldn't need a/c.
- Very damp inside despite many fans going at all times. Tough on those in our party with mold/mildew allergies
- Lots of bugs and cobwebs inside.
- Only 1 master with updated bath. If you have 2 families sharing it, one set of parents will get a kiddie toilet, small shower, and tiny mirror.
- Not much privacy. Your neighbors are very close.
Pros
- GREAT BEACH!! The sand beach is a blast for the kids.
- Perfect for swimming. While there's a lot of weeds off the beach, the lake is perfectly clear if you take the boat out to swim.
- Excellent fishing right off the pier. You can pull in little panfish and perch as fast as you can cast.
- Playground and game room in the office. These weren't even advertised and our families LOVED them.
- LOTS OF SPACE : the house was plenty large for 2 families.
- Well appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We only needed a blender which we brought. ;)
- Fantastic location. Town is only 10 minutes away with a Kwik Trip, Walmart and Walgreens right there.
- The roads around the resort are quiet and hilly. They make for great walks!
- Excellent Owners! Tim and family were incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly. Love that they have reasonably priced firewood right there and we're very available if we needed anything. They were great!
We had a great time at Conros resort. Tim was very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was awesome. We would love to return next year.

Conro's Resort, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, July 29 - August 5, 2017
Our three-generation family of 17 people, ages 9 - 79, rented all three of the Conro’s Resort cottages the week of July 29-August 5, 2017. The cottages are well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The owners were available if needed, but never intrusive. Our week started off with a bang when our grandson caught a 42-inch muskie! Throughout the week, whether rain or shine, we enjoyed all the resort’s facilities, including the play structure, volleyball, basketball, canoes, rowboats, stand-up paddleboards, pedalboats, and the game room. The grandchildren built elaborate “forts” and “farms” in the sand. The lake provided fine swimming and good fishing for crappies and bluegills. We watched sunsets over the lake, grilled brats, had campfires, and created lifelong memories. We had a great time and our family all asked us if we could please return to Conro’s again in the future.

The home/cottage was very nice and clean
Tim has done a great job in refurbishing this resort. It was closed for 10 years and he and his wife have worked hard. We had 6 adult and three children and the cottage accommodated our numbers. Tim was very attentive and checked in everyday and was always willing to correct any issues. Two things we were not expecting was the three very friendly dogs do come and visit. One stole steaks about to be grilled. Tim replaced them the next day and apologized often. Secondly and the biggest surprise to us is this is not a waterfront cottage. The view in the picture is a short walk away, but not the view from the cottage. We told Tim and was going to correct it. All in all we did like the place and the fishing was okay. Not sure I would return as we want a place with a view of a lake.

Great family friendly property, with plenty to do!
Highly recommend Conro's Resort! Lake front property, beautiful views. Tim was a great host. Welcoming, available to answer any questions and give suggestions. Was perfect for myself and kids, nice sandy lakefront, great for swimming. Paddle boats to use and plenty of options to rent also. House came with a fully stocked kitchen, was great to be able to cook and eat on the property.
Would be great for families or couples looking to relax and unplug!
