I have been going to PV since 2008, but this was my first stay in the Amapas area. The condo is lovely and well-equipped. Afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. The condo building is secure. You must carry keys to get in and out of the secured metal gates. We really enjoyed having laundry in the unit and the built-in bench and cushion on the balcony was wonderful. Despite the lovely, well-equipped condo, I am personally crossing Amapas off my list of places to stay. I could never have imagined despite reading other reviews just how many stairs there are to climb to reach just the bottom level of the 6-story Condo building. in order to get to the elevator. There are two options to get out of the Condo building and neither are great. The first is up and down approx 100 very steep stairs that start at the pool level or down a steep cobblestone road. It can be slippery and fairly well-traveled by cars, trucks, and motorcycles so just be aware of that and you will be fine. After two times of climbing the stairs, we changed our method to walking down the stairs when leaving for the day, but hiring an Uber or a Taxi to get back up the hill. We also used Didi Foods and Uber Eats to have food delivered. There is no elevator access at the level the main entrance is on, so when having groceries delivered, or bringing luggage in, there are approx eight steps you must either go up or down to get to the elevator. If you do not mind stairs, it is a beautiful place.
