Ogunquit is a great place for a vacation
The development is beautiful, quiet and a short walk to town. The parking is adequate. The grounds well manicured. Our friends and we are two long married couples in our senior years. The accommodations at this particular site need a few upgrades to get a higher rating especially for seniors.
The unit was listed as “sleeps four”. However, the second bedroom had a bunkbed with a twin on top and a full on bottom. It was against a wall. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Such an arrangement made it very difficult for a senior couple. One person had to climb over the other. There was a roll away bed in the closet but setup took all the space needed
The cleaning staff had not done a thorough job. The eating areas were not as clean as needed. The “rugs” on the kitchen floor were tripping hazards and we had to take them up while we were there.
The living room area needs some better furniture. It included a tv with cable and streaming.
Although, there was a roll of TP on each roller, it was half and we had too purchase our own. We also had to buy paper towels, tissues.
The unit was designed to accommodate a family with young children. The owner provided bikes, pool and beach chairs, sufficient beach towels for four and a beautiful porch for sunning. There was a BBQ grill and an outdoor fireplace stove.
I would recommend this particular unit to a family. I would not refer couples over 60 to go together.
We all agreed Ogunquit was beautiful!!!
