Our property is new construction that we completed in the fall of 2014. Our family lived in this cabin for just more than a year as we completed construction of our forever home. We are close enough to offer you any assistance you may need but far enough away to give you all the space and privacy you will want. It's a rustic cabin finished with all the modern amenities. The decor suggests a modern feel but the log walls and large windows suggest rustic Alaska.
The location of this property is close to Seward but just outside of town to give you the privacy and seclusion that you will be looking for on your trip to our Alaskan paradise. We are literally a 7 min drive from downtown in a quiet residential area on a culdesac street with only one other home so it's very private. Our cabin looks out over the Chugach Mountains with a view that you won't find anywhere else in Seward as our cabin looks Northeast instead of the typical Southern facing property. I can assure you that you'll spend most of your time taking in the incredible view as you enjoy the large back deck when you visit our home.
You'll have full access to the entire property.
We live right next door. If you need anything I can pop over anytime otherwise I always try to be available by text.
We live in a quiet neighborhood and the cabin is on a culdesac. We live across the street and there is only one other neighbor on our culdesac. This makes for a very private feel to the location.
The cabin has its own driveway and plenty of parking. If you need transportation I recommend calling a cab. If you want recommendations, shoot me a text and I will give them to you. - No processing of fish inside the cabin. - Quiet hours start at 10:00pm - No smoking inside or on the porches.

We loved everything about our stay in this cozy cabin. Our host was extremely responsive and gave great recommendations on things in the area. The cabin was well appointed and having a washer and dryer was a blessing as we were on an extended trip. We were minutes from every activity that we did in the area. And the views out of the big picture windows were stunning. We would definitely stay here again.
It was a wonderful place to stay! Very close to Seward and private with an amazing view!
I loved the beautiful art throughout the cabin, the super comfortable beds, and the high quality furniture and sheets. I would highly recommend this cabin to friends and family.
Host was so amazing, great communication! Loved the location close to Seward but yet felt remote! Cabin was adorable and clean! Beds are so comfortable!
Enjoyed our 2 night stay while exploring what Seward had to offer. My family enjoyed this beautiful cabin. We had 3 adults and 3 children in our group and the cabin provided enough space for all. The younger kids enjoyed playing in the snow outside the cabin and everyone felt safe and secure during our stay. I highly recommend this cabin for your stay.
We so loved our stay. The cabin was perfect. Really unique and comfortable. The views were stunning! We cooked some great meals, did a puzzle, and relaxed every night. The location is so great. Close enough to town but far enough that we felt a real connection to nature. We will definitely be back !
The Cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed! It was pristine and directions were easy! We were warned of a moose on the property which saved us upon check in! The Northern Lights were spectacular from the house upon check in! Smooth and amazing stay!! Thank you!!
This property will take your breath away. The views are spectacular and the home is fully stocked with anything you will need. Great open living spaces with very accommodating and comfortable bedrooms. The owners are super easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any concerns or questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Seward; trips into town take less than 5 minutes. We will definitely be returning to this property soon.
It’s our return trip to the cabin. The proximity to Seward and the privacy are ideal. There is a Safeway grocery less than five minutes away. The views from the cabin are awesome any time of the day or night. Rain or shine. The owners are super responsive. The home is clean and comfortable. The cabin is ideal for a single family with children. Great kitchen and a clean outdoor grill. Thank you for hosting us again.
Beautiful rental minutes from Seward with an amazing view
I have nothing bad to say about this rental. The view off the back deck is just gorgeous! It’s less than 10 minutes from Seward but doesn’t feel like it. Rental was stocked with essentials. We didn’t do any cooking so I can’t comment on how the kitchen was stocked. There is a Keurig with coffee pods. I would have been nice to have some creamer pods as well though. Beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a washer and dryer available! I would definitely stay here again if I ever get the chance to return!
A hidden gem, close to town but secluded and quiet
I only wish we could've stayed longer. It was a lovely visit and my family had a great time. The cabin was perfect for our family of four and had plenty of space. The owner was very communicative and helpful - she even mailed me my jewelry that I had forgotten and left behind! I can't recommend this place enough for a private getaway with all the essentials!
We had 5 adults stay comfortably in this lovely cabin. We loved the views and our stay here - close to hiking & downtown Seward . Perfect location. Beds were very comfortable and we were grateful for the black out shades. We cooked many meals here . Lovely kitchen but could have
Uses some extra casserole dishes & a good can opener . Most people probably don’t cook as much as we do on vacation!😉Communication with owners was easy and they even checked in on us after an earthquake ! Would definitely stay here again if we have a chance .
My family and I stayed at the Bear Creek cabin for two nights and wished we had time to stay longer! Everything was great, modern, clean, well appointed and very comfortable cabin with an amazing view! Would recommend to anyone without hesitation.
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful cabin in the woods. We love Seward and will definitely stay here again. Not a detail was missed. I'd love to return during the summer to sit on the amazing deck!

About the host

We are a family of four. My husband and myself went to high school here in Seward. I was born and raised in Alaska with deep roots in Moose Pass, he is a lucky transplant from Wisconsin. It's been our dream for many years to offer a place for people to stay at while they visit the Seward area. We have two beautiful young children that we are teaching to love Alaska and all it has to offer. We are both very familiar with the area and what is available, there are so many fun activities we can tell you about to fill your whole vacation!
