Located behind The Palms, this recently totally remodeled unit is a 2-minute walk to the beach. It’s about a 5-minute drive to Marina Flamingo and a half-hour to the Diamante Eco Adventure Park.

The master bedroom contains a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has a king and an XL twin. The living room also has a queen-size sleeper sofa.

All three of these rooms have televisions. There are numerous charging ports and internet for streaming TV. The unit is air-conditioned and has good mesh Wi-Fi. It’s decorated throughout with modern coastal beach decor by a local artist.

The kitchen has beautiful, custom cabinets with brand-new appliances, including a dishwasher and disposal, microwave and beverage cooler accented by a white countertop with bar seating for three. A gorgeous dining table, locally made of guanacaste wood, seats six.

A large, newly renovated pool is perfect for swimming laps, with an attached wading pool for kids. It has several lounge chairs and tables and a palm-covered round wooden table with six barstools, a perfect lunch spot.

A front porch entrance overlooks the beautiful landscaping and pool, with a small table with two chairs, ideal for breakfast or afternoon cocktails, with two comfy chairs on the opposite side.

The Neighborhood:
Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo.
Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences.
A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz.
Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.
Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store.
Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta.

Getting Around:

While taxis are available, they may be somewhat challenging to find. Many locals rely on buses for transportation, although there is a limited selection of routes and schedules. Private shuttles are an excellent choice for reaching nearby destinations, and numerous tour companies offer transportation to and from their tours.
