Indulge in Serenity at The Golden Pearl: A Beautiful Log Cottage Escape

Unwind with your family at this serene retreat with private access to Blue Sea Beach, boasting the warmest waters in Nova Scotia. Escape to this ideal vacation spot for peace and quiet, and stay for the sandy shores and inviting waters. The area offers a plethora of amenities for relaxation or adventure, including biking, hiking, trips to local museums, and indulging in local food and drinks. Jost Winery is just 6 minutes away for those seeking a delightful wine experience.
The space
Our newly built log home offers two bedrooms with two queen beds, an air mattress for an additional guest or child, and a pack and play for smaller children. You'll find two full bathrooms, with the main level featuring a tub/shower combination and a washer and dryer, while the upstairs ensuite boasts a stand-up shower and double sinks. The main living area features cathedral ceilings and abundant natural light throughout the day. A fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities needed to prepare meals for friends or family, and a BBQ on the back deck is available for your use. In the backyard, relax in the screened-in room with comfortable furniture, or gather around the fire pit with chairs overlooking the green space. Keep an eye out for deer, bear, and birds in the area. On the front covered porch, you'll find beach essentials, including a wagon with beach buckets and frisbees, four folding chairs, and an umbrella. Private access to Blue Sea Beach is a 5-7 minute walk to the end of the subdivision. Note that the bridge crossing the brook is erected between June and October; access to the beach is still available year-round with some walking around the brook.
Guest access
The entire home will be yours during the stay.
Other things to note
Before your stay, you'll receive cottage information a few days in advance. Please note that cell phone coverage is spotty at the home, but we offer Starlink internet, which is reliable. To ensure consistent service, we recommend turning on Wifi Calling on your cell phone before arrival. Cell service at the beach and in some spots can be great.

We allow one pet per stay, as long as they are under 50 lbs. Please clean up after your pet at all times. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the yard requires pet waste pick up after your stay.
