Cozy cottage on a quiet lake.
The water beckons at this quiet two-bedroom cottage on the north side of Black Lake. Beautiful sunrises and birdwatching over breakfast will start your day with canoeing or swimming in a sheltered bay to fill the time. When the colour of the sunset fades, there's a wood-burning stove or the fire pit to keep you warm under the stars while the flickers of fireflies and the haunting call of loons provide your entertainment. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably and includes the use of a high-speed internet, a canoe, 2 kayaks and an eV charging station. The bathroom and kitchen have been remodelled and the kitchen comes equipped with a microwave, stove, fridge, espresso and regular coffeemakers, dishwasher and washing machine. The towns of Perth and Westport are nearby for rainy-day activities and there's a drive-in theatre close by. There are good cycling paths and provincial parks with walking trails nearby. The cottage is a lovely getaway from city noise and the lake is great for swimming and fishing.

I'm from eastern Ontario and know this region and its rich history well. I'm retired and love spending more time at the lake ... as do my grown sons and their families.
Why they chose this property
It's a serene setting with glorious sunrises and a beautiful lake view! There's a woods and marsh on the other side of the street. The swimming is great and there are few boaters. There's also good fishing. So many birds flourish here including herons, cardinals and hummingbirds with varied birdsong that fills the days and the haunting songs of loons that fill the nights. The walking is nice too and there are nearby trails available in various provincial parks. In nearby Perth and Westport, there are shops, music and good food to while away rainy days ... and there's even a drive-in cinema within a half hour. What's not to do and love about this amazing neighbourhood?
What makes this property unique
It's right on a small inlet of the lake and has a very private feel.
