About this property
On the lake / sauna, spa, boat
In a quiet area, on the shores of a protected lake there is a small wooden chalet equipped for relaxation: a spa and traditional wood-burning sauna, heated floors and vivid modern amenities, a projector for movie nights, an espresso machine for your favorite style coffee in the morning... Minutes from hiking and cross-country ski trails: unwind and discover nature - you will swim, golf, fish, explore the lakes by boat and the nearby mountains by VTT or snowmobile.
The space
The cottage, on two floors and a mezzanine totalling 1350 sq feet, is ideal for couples or families of 4 people but can accommodate up to 6-7 people that like each other.
The entire cottage is winterized, the heating and lights adapt to your arrival and departure ensuring a good comfort.
The mezzanine, Level 2 has a queen size bed with a simple work table with a view on the lake. And a piano.
On the Level 1, you will find the second bedroom with a queen size bed and smart TV, living room, bathroom, and kitchen that have heated floors and welcome the morning sun through large east-facing windows. Cooking is easy in the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a top-notch coffee machine and a tea kettle with multiple water settings. The fridge filters the already drinkable water and provides ice cubes for cocktails, while a blender is available for crushing the ice. A projector with a 100-inch screen with high-quality sound for an immersive experience: Mubi, HBO, Crave, Bell Fibe.
Downstairs, on the Level 0 , there is a space with a sofa bed and queen size mattress that can go on top, with its own bathroom with a shower and a separate exit leading to the lake, sauna, spa, and outside fireplace. You will find art magazines and National Geographic, useful tools, and fishing gear.
Guest access
Feel free to enjoy the entire chalet, including the dock and the lake, as well as the 30,000 square feet of land. By car, VTT or Snowmobile you can also explore the nearby regional parks and small villages.
There are three free parking spaces.
You have access to the following equipment:
- a private jacuzzi 6 places
- a dry sauna with a wood burning stove
- a deck with a BBQ
- an outside fire pit
for summer:
- a private 8/16 feet dock
- 2 kayaks
- 2 paddle boards
- an inflatable dinghy with an electric engine for 4 people
- basic fishing gear for those who know how to use it
- 2 mountain bikes.
for winter:
- 2 sets of cross-country skis (one for a woman and one for a man)
- 3 pairs of snowshoes
- a private 200-foot sledding slope along with a sled ( on the left of the chalet when looking at the lake)
During the winter months, accessing the chalet by car is still easy as the roads are regularly cleared and maintained. The driveway is a bit steep: if you don't have a 4X4 car or for the cars don't have the proper winter tires, we suggest parking the cars on top of the driveway inwards the two reflective signs after the first snow.
In winter, the snow around the lake, the sauna, and the fireplace may be left as is. Guests who prefer a different setting are welcome to create their own paths.
You have the option to park your snowmobile trailer at no cost in a designated area on the premises or at the nearby snowmobile club, just minutes walk away. Please get in touch before arriving with a trailer.
Other things to note
The cottage has a septic tank please take care of the water consumption.
The property is cigarette / smoke free but you can smoke near the exterior fire pit if you dispose the cigarette butts in the fire pit.
The spa water is tested every 15 minutes to ensure it remains warm, safe and sanitized ( bromine, 102F). Guests are asked to shower before using the spa - if used with care and an intervention is required, I will notify you.
The dock and boat and the BBQ are available between May and October.
There is no AC as the summer climate does a pretty good job of cooling the space at night.
Some cellular networks have weak or no signal at the cabin: you can use the " wifi calling " to make/receive direct phone calls and text messages. It works as if you had a mobile signal. Settings / cellular / wifi calling ON
