BED BUG INFESTATION
Upon arrival the door code they gave us was wrong, I should have taken this as the bad omen of much worse things to come. When we finally got the correct code it was clear that cleaning is not a priority for this property manager. The bed covers had large sticky stains in multiple places. We were only there about 5 minutes when my 8 year old asked me to look at the bugs on the pillows. Sure enough, bed bug infestation. I called the customer service rep again and told him we found an infestation of bed bugs. He said “oh ok I’ll let management know .” Nothing else. I said “and then what happens” and he says “I guess someone will call you back.” At this point we’ve already packed the car back up, we’re waiting outside and it’s 8pm. As we’re leaving we noticed the carpeted stairs had bed bugs crawling through it as well. So 30 minutes go by and I call back asking for an update. He said they’re still trying to figure it out. He eventually called me back and said they’re giving me a refund. I said well where are you moving me to? Mind you this is a multi-hundred house complex. He said we have nothing available. As I’m looking down the completely empty dark street of rentals. I was floored. I asked what they expect me to do at 9pm on a Sunday night for a week long reservation reservation for Disney World. He said “I don’t know.” I asked to talk to management and he said “it’s not business hours, there’s no management to talk to you. Do not book this house.
