Our cottage sleeps 5 people, has a well-equipped kitchen, a screened-in porch, and a working fireplace for those cool evenings in late summer or early fall. There is a spacious outdoor shower, a deck, a charcoal and a gas grill and lovely perennial plantings and shady locust trees.
Our cottage is one of seven in a charming old Cape cottage community.
Our cottage is a short drive or bike-ride to a number of attractions including the Cape's last Drive-In Movie theater, live performances at the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (W.H.A.T.), The Harbor Stage Theater, magnificent ocean beaches, the Audubon Sanctuary, the Rail Trail, fresh-water kettle ponds, live music at a number of restaurants and bars, the famous French pastries of P.B. Boulangerie and Bistro, and numerous galleries and restaurants of downtown Wellfleet.
If you ever want to leave Wellfleet, you are only a short 20 minute drive from Provincetown where you'll find art galleries, fishing, whale watching, restaurants, and night life.
Please Note: This indeed a cozy cottage. It is a small, rustic, efficiency cottage, only 600 square feet in total. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed with about 20 inches around it on three sides. Neither of the bedrooms have closets, but there are plenty of hooks to hang clothes on. Many people feel our cottage reminds them of the old Cape, when things were simpler, smaller, more rustic. If you are looking for a new, large, shiny rental, this may not be your cup of tea. If you are looking for a charming throw back to an earlier simpler time, then our Cozy Cottage may be just the bit of old Cape Cod you've been dreaming of.
