Villa 12 The Commonage is located on Queenstown Hill with stunning views over the bay and beyond. The Villa is the perfect spot to settle in, relax and enjoy your getaway. The cosy interior complete with gas fires and comfy couches makes it so you never want to leave.
Someone from The Butler is just a phone call away.
The Villa sits in a prime spot on Queenstown Hill overlooking Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. The Villa is part of a complex called The Commonage. As you are on Queenstown Hill you are just minutes from the spectacular Queenstown Hill Walking track - a must do.
Guests have access to the whole house including the garage (except for 2 locked cupboards inside the house)
This stunning Villa is set out of 3 levels with views over downtown Queenstown and out over the iconic Lake Wakatipu. You can walk into town from the Villa but its a steep walk back up the hill, we'd recommend a quick taxi ride if you don't want the cardio workout.
On the top floor, you’ll find the master suite with gas fire and an Ensuite with a spa bath so you can have your own little retreat. The middle level is setup with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with views you have to see to believe (the photos don't do it justice). There is a feature gas fire with a Smart TV above. The lower level has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Two gas fires and underfloor heating with ensure you’re warm and toasty in Queenstown’s cooler months.
We would recommend you have a hire car to go out exploring but not essential to stay at the house as there are airport shuttles and taxi's that all service the Villa. The Villa is located - 120 metres to the Queenstown Hill Walking Track (2 minutes walk depending on your speed) - 7.8km from Queenstown Airport (approx 15 minutes depending on traffic) - 1.2km from downtown Queenstown (approx 3 minutes drive or 15 minute walk downhill. Note it is longer going back up as its a steep hill. We wouldn't recommend walking in winter as it can be icy.
There is parking for 1 vehicle only in the garage (must not be bigger than a Maxda CX9) and additional vehicles will need to be parked on the road outside the complex. Bedroom 3 the beds can be setup as either 2 singles or a King please let us know at time of booking how you would like the beds setup.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Villa. We walked into breathtaking views of Queenstown from the living room and each of the bedrooms.
The property itself is beautiful and cosy, with the perfect alpine feeling. It is spacious, modern and so clean with all the amenities you need for a family stay.
The Host is excellent, super responsive and helpful.
My family and I could not recommend this property enough!
The view was absolutely stunning. We didn’t want to leave. Furnishings and kitchen were amazing. Tons of space. Laundry room. Patios with the same amazing view. Only downside was that it was so high in the hill that hiking back from town was tough, even for fit people. Easy solution though, walk down and taxi back up. The view was well worth the price. We nicknamed this condo “the chateau”.
What a truly remarkable villa. Luxury in every sense of the word. Large multi-level home with 3 king bedrooms and en-suite baths in each; an amazing kitchen, dining, and a living room - all rooms with amazing views of the lake and Queenstown. You just couldn't ask for more. Parking included (garage). I have never enjoyed staying in so much and cooking a meal with a glass of wine in hand (thank you to our wonderful hosts for our welcome gift as well) then relaxing on the balcony and listening to the sounds from the town drift upward as we watched the sun set over the mountains and the lake. During the day, we enjoyed watching the paragliders as well if we weren't doing our own things in the town below. Peaceful bliss. Washer and dryer came in very handy. Quiet, restful - just perfect in every way. Thank you so much for having such a wonderful place to stay!
