The unit was disappointing. It hadn't been cleaned—the bathroom was quite unpleasant, with dirty-looking hand towels, unvacuumed floors, and surfaces that hadn’t been wiped down. There were no coffee filters provided, and the lack of soundproofing made it difficult to relax due to the noise from the family upstairs. While the unit has potential, our stay was short and meant to be convenient for the airport, but it ultimately wasn’t worth it.

Halifax stay
Overall, I would not recommend. Amenities are very limited, the bathroom was dirty, it’s clear the owner is doing the cleaning and using the cleaning fee as extra income. You are sleeping in the basement and can hear children thumping and a baby screaming at 5am for 40 minutes. The overall care for the property is low as well (grass unmowed, no lawn furniture).
It was easy to get to the house from the airport and then visit nearby sights. The neighborhood is safe, and we found restaurants, a pharmacy, and a gas station nearby. The beds were comfortable, and even though there is no kitchen, a bottled water dispenser was provided. The large sofa was great to relax on in front of the big TV. Our only complaints: the stairs between the driveway and basement entrance are steep and long and have no railing, the bathroom could have been cleaner, the toilet seat cover was too small for the toilet, and we heard noise from the owners upstairs all night (baby crying, loud walking)

Needs improvement
Unit was very clean and welcoming as well as bright but there was no sound barrier between upstairs and downstairs where the unit was. We received bath towels but no facecloths or hand towels. There was no railing leading down the steep steps to the basement. The main bedroom had marvelous windows but the second bedroom had no window. We had a request for a fan because it was very warm but never received an answer.
We enjoyed our stay. It was new, spacious, bright and clean. Because it has no proper kitchen, it does not have some of the things you might have come to expect, like utensils, salt and pepper, sugar, etc. It has a microwave, toaster, coffee maker and mini fridge, which was enough for us.
The owners were very helpful. We would happily stay there again while in Halifax.

Property was easy to get to and there is lots of conveniences nearby. Overall it was very clean except the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, which wasn’t a huge deal. The only downfall was the amount of noise from upstairs. We could hear people yelling and each step sounded like elephants walking around.
