Guest Access:
During your stay, you'll have exclusive access to all the amenities and spaces within the property.

The Neighborhood:
Staying on Asaph Street, you’ll experience the best of Christchurch’s central city lifestyle. This location offers the perfect mix of urban convenience, great dining, and vibrant nightlife, making it an exciting place to stay.

A Central Yet Cozy Retreat
Asaph Street sits right in the heart of the city, giving you easy access to everything while still feeling like a retreat from the busiest areas. Being slightly off the main roads, it’s quieter during the day, but as with any central city location, you might notice a bit of nightlife noise later in the evening, especially on weekends.

Incredible Food & Café Scene
You’re just a short walk from some of the city’s best cafés, restaurants, and bars. Whether you're grabbing a morning coffee at a trendy café, enjoying a meal at Riverside Market, or heading out for a drink in the evening, there’s always something happening nearby.

Vibrant Nightlife & Entertainment
If you love nightlife and entertainment, you’re in the right place. Asaph Street is close to popular bars, live music venues, and late-night eateries, making it easy to enjoy a fun night out. Just keep in mind that the bustling city vibe can bring some late-night noise, especially on weekends.

Easy Access to Green Spaces
Even with the urban setting, you’re not far from nature. Hagley Park and the Avon River are just a short walk away, offering the perfect escape for morning walks, jogging, or a peaceful afternoon outdoors.

Busy Roads & Easy Transport
Asaph Street is well-connected, making it easy to get around the city by foot, bike, or public transport. However, with the convenience of central city living comes the reality of busier streets and potential traffic noise, particularly during peak hours.

If you’re looking for a lively, well-connected place with great food, nightlife, and city convenience, Asaph Street is an excellent choice. Just be prepared for the energy of central city living, where the excitement lasts a little later into the night!

Getting Around:
Asaph Street means you’re in one of the most walkable and well-connected areas of Christchurch. Whether you prefer to explore on foot, bike, or public transport, getting around is easy and convenient.

Walkability – Everything Within Reach
Asaph Street is located in Christchurch’s Central City, meaning most essentials, restaurants, shops, and entertainment options are just a short walk away. You can easily reach:

Riverside Market – 7-minute walk
The Terrace (bars & nightlife) – 10-minute walk
Christchurch Art Gallery & Isaac Theatre Royal – 12-minute walk
Hagley Park & Botanic Gardens – 15-minute walk

Cycling – A Bike-Friendly City
Christchurch is known for being one of New Zealand’s most bike-friendly cities, with dedicated cycle lanes making it easy to get around. Many locals prefer biking over driving in the central city to avoid traffic and parking hassles. You’ll find:

Plenty of bike racks around the city.
Dedicated cycle lanes on major roads.
Shared Lime e-bikes & scooters available for rent nearby.

Public Transport – Convenient Bus Routes
Christchurch’s bus network makes it simple to travel beyond the city center. Nearby bus stops connect you to:

Christchurch Bus Interchange – 7-minute walk, where you can catch buses to the suburbs and airport.
Route 1 & Orbiter buses – Frequent services to Riccarton, New Brighton, and other key areas.
Airport Bus (Route 29) – Quick and affordable transport to Christchurch Airport.

Driving & Parking – Central City Convenience
While you might not need a car daily, having one can be handy for exploring beyond Christchurch. Just keep in

Christchurch city stay
Great townhouse just over the road from the Little High Eatery. Townhouse was clean and modern with all the things we needed for our stay. Parking can be a bit of a hassle so plan ahead if you intend to park nearby.

Great location, nice & new
Nice new 3 story house in central city, very new. Basic provisions would be the only thing to note, e.g 1 little sachet of shampoo/conditioner combined, no body wash, tiny UHT milk, no facecloths, but as long as you remember to bring these if you need them it is great value for money and exceptionally warm & tidy

Conference weekend
Clean, tidy unit. Kitchen and bathrooms had adequate supplies. Where the unit was situated was great and despite the car parks in front of the unit usually being taken it was no problem with the one available across the road at a good price. Couple of down sides was the stairs proved difficult for our older friends & having no toilet on the ground floor. It was also noted there was a blood stain on one of the mattress protectors. However, the group coped with these things and the majority of the group would definitely consider staying again.
