We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property with its trees and views of the nearby lake. A lovely cottage with good size beds and lounger. There was an efficient, well-equipped kitchen though we mostly barbecued and ate outside in the picnic area under the trees and open sky. The vintage claw foot with a skylight looking upwards to the treetops was a nice treat. The covered cabana was a great place to read and relax. Wanted to max out our nature experience and had a comfortable sleep in the cabana’s enclosed room. We woke up to chirping birds and even spotted a deer while enjoying our breakfast! It truly was the nature retreat we were looking for. Serene and private it was the perfect escape from the city. Would definitely book again!
The tiny weeny cabin was not easy to find and the driveway is very steep and difficult to manoeuvre and definitely needs trimming back. The bushes and branches scratched up my vehicle. Best to have a small vehicle I had a truck

This was basically one step above camping. Spa bathroom is a rusted tub and a bar of ivory soap. Bedding felt like it was 20 years old and cobwebs everywhere. I was fooled by the pictures. Driveway is super steep and dangerous

Beautiful spot but not quite as advertised
This cabin is cute but tiny! There is really only one bed - two mattresses on one platform that can sort of become a futon couch sitting area. If you go with friends, as we did, you have to sleep in one bed although it says two double beds. The cabin was clean and the vintage bath is lovely!
However, the "glamping" cabana is not glamorous. It is more rustic and dirty than if I go camping! We had to move old dirty furniture out fo the way and sweep and dust the area. It needs a few touches to be considered glamping. The air mattresses did not hold air. The outside platform for eating and hanging out is very nice. We brought a tablecloth luckily - and that made a lot of difference.
The walk to the lake is 4-5 min as advertised and the water is fantastic!!! The dock was crowded as it was a hot week but the water and swimming was so lovely.
We absolutely loved staying here! The property is beautiful, private, and so quaint! We stayed with our small dogs, and they had a blast. I love that there is a little fenced area for them to safely explore.
This cabin is excellent for a couple, or a small family who doesn’t mind sharing. We loved the huge bed with all the pillows! I would say that a larger group may not be so comfortable. The other building is not closed in, and not very clean or comfortable. I personally wouldn’t want to sleep there! We didn’t use this space at all.
The claw foot tub is a highlight!!! One previous guest said it’s dirty, but it absolutely isn’t. It just has character!! The kitchen is fully stocked, clean, and fun to cook in! There is no toaster oven like in the photos - we brought a flatbread to cook in it, but were surprised to see it was replaced with a microwave. There is no shampoo, despite the listing. Luckily, we had some with us! A bar of nice soap was provided.
Overall, this property is a dream! We are already planning our next visit! If you enjoy the cabin life and simplicity, this is the perfect spot on Salt Spring Island! Thank you for sharing your little spot with us!

Cozy cabin in great location, no communication
We were very happy with the location of the cabin and the cabin itself. The main cabin is large enough to house a large bed and one small bed that our 6 year old slept on. It had a cozy kitchen with sink, an electric cookstove, fridge, and lots of spices, oil, and supplies for cooking. There were hooks to hang up bags to keep organized because there's not a lot of room for clutter to get on the floor and comfortably move around.
The cabana was also an awesome living room area to spread out in for this time of year. It had a couple Adarondack chairs and a large kitchen table, another fridge, and a coffee station with a covered roof and open walls. The extra bedroom in the cabana had a bed with an air mattress but we didn't use it.
I had serious concerns about the communication with the property owner. Not once, but twice did I email them with a direct question about using the ferry to get to the island. The only responses I received were more payment requests and then what I assume to be a standard welcome guide sent the day before arrival. We were able to luckily figure everything out by going online, but I found it inconsiderate and unprofessional that they didn't bother responding at all. We've stayed in a lot of short term rentals and have never experienced absolutely no response to multiple messages. I didn't have a lot of confidence that we could actually reach someone if something came up during our visit.
