Lovely spot

My husband, daughter and I came to Victoria to move our son into an apartment for his second year at UVIC. This VRBO was clean and big and bright. The beds were comfy, the shower was hot, the fluffy blankets were fabulous and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It was close to the highway, 15 minutes into town and our hosts were lovely.

Great Victoria Base

This is a great 2 bedroom basement walkout suite. It has all of the appliances you and your family will need for your stay, including a dishwasher, washer and dryer. All the appliances are new. The apartment is very clean and the kitchen is well stocked to be able to do your own cooking. The neighbourhood quiet and a short drive to all of the sights in the Greater Victoria Area. Biking and walking paths are easily accessible as well.

The property was like it was listed, it was very clean, it was nicely stocked with everything we needed. The only downside was the entrance for reduced mobility tenants but we were able to make it work.

Great Value and adequate accommodations

Arriving after dark with all of our phone calls to the host unanswered, we were led down a dark sidewalk to the well-appointed basement apartment by his niece, who lived in the above-ground part of the house. The entrance itself was well-lighted, but with a high concrete curb to step over in order to access the steps, the unit did not lend itself to wheelchair access. The two bedrooms were of average size and included a full-size bed in each room, plus a standard twin-size bed in the larger room. The kitchen was well-equipped, though the freezer was only as cool as the refrigerator (our ice cream melted overnight). Though it seemed at first that there was no hot water for a shower, it was soon discovered that the hot was to the right and the cold was to the left, which was the opposite of the standard marking on the handle. A bit confusing and perhaps not to code. Beds were comfortable and air- handler kept air moving in unit. Altogether a good experience at a reasonable price in an upscale neighborhood.
