The Space:
Discover this cozy and well-appointed home, designed for a delightful getaway. Step into a welcoming lounge area, ideal for quiet reading or unwinding. Continue into the combined living and dining space featuring a TV, and a heat pump to keep you warm in winter and cool in the summer months - Please kindly note that the fireplace is not available.

The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare family meals and a Nespresso machine (BYO pods) . Adjacent to it there is a covered deck with outdoor seating, perfect for enjoying summer evenings or your morning coffee.

The master bedroom boasts a comfortable Queen-sized bed. Next door, the second bedroom offers two single beds. The first lounge area features sofa bed, perfect for accommodating a fifth guest. A sliding door provides the option to create a private space, offering an 'almost' third room experience.

The sliding doors also transform the space into a fabulous, private office. You can make use of the foldaway writing desk, perfect for those visiting for work or anyone seeking some quiet time away from the rest of the group.

The spacious bathroom features a large shower, with a convenient washing machine and dryer discreetly tucked away behind cupboard doors. A separate toilet enhances convenience during your stay.

The cottage has an ample driveway to park your vehicles conveniently off the street.

Just a leisurely 5-minute walk away, you'll find convenience at your fingertips with a local corner store, a well-stocked bottle shop, and a delicious fish and chips shop. A stroll down the hill will take you to the tranquil shores of Lake Taupō, and the 'Two Mile Bay Sailing Club'.

For those seeking adventure, embark on a scenic journey along the renowned Great Lake Pathway, offering picturesque views of the expansive lakefront. Just a short drive away, you'll find relaxation and rejuvenation at 'Taupō DeBretts Spa Resort', or immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the town center, brimming with local shops, cafes, and attractions.

Other Things to Note:
There is ongoing building work behind the property on weekdays, which may result in some noise during your stay. We wanted to make you aware in advance, so you can plan accordingly.

Breakfast items are not provided but there is plenty of tea, coffee, and basic cooking necessities such as salt, pepper, and oil.

When booking, please advise how many beds you require, and we will prepare that quantity for you. The two single beds could be zipped together if required and requested on your booking.

A highchair and baby cot may be available on request. Please enquire before booking (bedding for the cot is not provided).

For the sake of our neighbours, noise must be kept indoors and to a minimum after 10pm. There are strict no parties, smoking or pets rules in all Be My Guest properties.

If you are booking this property on a platform other than Airbnb, an authorisation hold is required. This hold will be captured as a ‘preauthorisation of funds’ from your payment card, prior to arrival and will be auto released 2 days from check-out, so long as no damage or costs have been incurred. The 'hold' for this property is $200

All Be My Guest linen comes from our professional linen supplier. It is thermally disinfected at temperatures high enough to eliminate germs and risks such as Covid-19.

This property has one security camera, overlooking the driveway. The camera DOES NOT monitor indoor spaces.

Great location and retreat feel
We were visiting Taupo for a sport tournament. Location was close to the competition venue and the after venue (Two Mile Bay Sailing Club). Very nice to come back to and rest/recover. Quiet neighbourhood; unit was clean and recently renovated. We recommended to our fellow tournament families for future stays!

Great home for our stay in Taupo
Quiet suburban location but only a short drive into town. Lots of space, nice yard for outside dinning. Well kitted out. Everything you need. A short walk down to the lakefront for a excellent pizza. Definitely return if we visit Taupo again. Host in touch promptly about check in.
