About this property
The Lobster Boat Inn
About this space
The boat H and D (High and Dry) is a seasonal (June -Oct) Nova Scotia destination. We offer visitors upscale Glamping on a renovated lobster boat. Surround yourself with nautical paraphernalia bringing to life the rich Lobster fishing culture of Atlantic Canada. Yes, the Inn is in a boat, but THERE'S NO WATER to fear. She is landlocked and perched on a hill in the woods. Though she will never float again visit soon to commune with nature and relax on this unique, glamping lobster boat. NOMOH2O
The space
The Inn is a renovated lobster fishing boat. Its main deck is now an enclosed main room with seating, sleeping and DVD tv. There is also a propane wall heater, AC and refrigerator. The wheel house (formally the steering wheel room) has seating for meals, a fresh water pump and a twin size bed. Leading down from here is the bathroom (Head Room ) with toilet, sink and electrical power pack. The sleeping loft is above the wheel House. At the rear is the exterior covered cooking deck with BBQ, stove pots and pans. Enter the Inn from this deck through the garden door. Outside discover a sundeck, enclosed second bathroom,(under construction) a hot outdoor shower, picnic table and the fire pit.
Guest access
Guests have complete and exclusive access to the whole boat (inn) during their stay. The property is private with ample parking including room for one RV if necessary. Enter and exit the boat from port or starboard at the rear, (left or right).Steps are 45" wide. Single garden door 32" wide but both doors open if required creating a 60"opening. The queen bed is in the loft that can only be accessed via a loft ladder.
Six (6) steps lead down to a furnished 8X12 deck, fresh water hand pump and shower on the right and parking on the left (6 steps also).
Other things to note
This property is unlike any usual rental property that guests may be accustomed to. It is not a tent nor a 5 star resort. It is a perfect example of
"Glamping". It is rustic as the price reflects yet it screams character, utility, comfort and fun. It's ideal for a group (or family) of up to 5 individuals and pets and will appeal to self sufficient individuals who enjoy something different and memorable. Stay here and bond as a family even if you're not related! Close to PEI and Cape Breton Island and numerous other places of interest including: walking and bike trails, Fireloch sauna and axe throwing, car racing And downtown Antigonish which hosts the famous Highland Games in July.
