About this property
Oceanfront Oasis, beautiful and modern. (NO PETS. 31-60 day rentals only.)
We rent on a monthly basis only. This home is stunningly beautiful, serene, new and modern. Located on a mid-bank sandstone beach with views of the Coastal Mtns. Swimming and forest! We often see orcas, humpbacks, sea lions, otters, etc. from the cabin's acreage. Due to serious allergies absolutely NO PETS or scented laundry detergent allowed. (We provide detergent.) Smoking/outdoor fires not permitted. This unique, memorable, oasis has wifi. Relax...Enjoy... & reset! You will love it.
Designed by an award-winning architect, the space is modern, elegant, comfortable and stocked with all the necessary home amenities, including cooking basics, dishes, linens and bedding. Living room, kitchen and dining area in one large airy space filled with light and windows. The home is oceanfront with expansive sea views and you can hear the beautiful sound of the waves on the beach.
Summer, fall, winter and spring - each season is unique and special here and very peaceful. Easy to "work from home" at the table in the main room since we have excellent internet (as far as rural properties go). A remote worker's paradise!
The kitchen is suited to delicious meals with an amazing view. At night, the lights of Vancouver twinkle in the distance across the Salish Sea. During the day, enjoy beautiful mountains, wildlife and stunning sunrises. We see humpbacks, orcas, sea lions, seals, sea otters, many kinds of birds, deer, mink, etc. from the property.
The master bedroom features a king size bed and the second bedroom two singles – ocean views and black out curtains in both. The home has 2 full bathrooms - one off the master bedroom. A covered outdoor deck and patio space means meals can be enjoyed outside or in. Get cozy in the living room with a wood burning stove - firewood provided.
Please note, we have an ***ABSOLUTELY NO PETS of any kind rule. That means, no pets visiting at any time, for any length of time, allowed in the cabin. This is an absolute rule that will not be modified. We love them but we can not host them in our home because of severe allergies. Also, for health reasons, no scented laundry detergent in the cabin. We provide detergent. *** We trust that you understand and will respect this.
Laundry facilities on site to make your stay easy. We have soap, dish soap, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies and we hope you will make use of them if you need to.
The cabin is connected to municipal water and not on a well. That said, we are still rural and operate on a septic system and kindly request that guests have an enjoyable stay but act with care regarding our drains. Only toilet tissue is allowed in the toilets, and only soap and water in sink drains - no chemicals or other items.
This is a new place and we are still working on the landscaping and a few details, so have offered discounted rates for one to two months.
We spend many months of the year here, so please expect a few personal possessions in the cabin. You are welcome to use items in the pantry (spices, etc.)
