This is a relaxing family home only a short 2 min stroll to the beach situated on a quiet street. A modern 2 storey town house with bright and sunny spacious living. Upstairs has a tiled deck with large outdoor couch to enjoy the unobstructed views and sea peeps. Downstairs enjoy a cosy courtyard to relax in the afternoon sun and cook up a storm on the bbq. This area also has a large outdoor couch to relax on. There are 2 comfortable living spaces, one upstairs and one downstairs. The kitchen is upstairs sharing open plan living with the lounge dining and upstairs deck, enabling you to enjoy the company of friends while cooking. The main lounge has a 65" smart TV with Netflix for those movie buffs. We also provide unlimited WiFi. Upstairs boasts a large main bedroom with large walk in wardrobe and a fabulous ensuite with double shower and vanities. Down stairs is the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, one a queen and the other 2 king singles. The main bathroom has a shower and bath to use, so very family friendly. Both upstairs and downstairs have air conditioning units which heat or cool the house depending on your needs
The section is very town house like with minimal lawn area. Safe for children to play outdoors as fully enclosed. Alternatively there is a wonderful park at the end of our street (Moa Park), or the fabulous new skate park which children rave about (scooters, skates or boards) and of course the beautiful beach only 1 min stroll away. The section is fully fenced and gated. We are situated on a lovely quiet street, which is quite rare in the Mount.
There is ample room in the driveway to park your boat plus another car. You will have full access to a double garage to either park cars, bikes or jet ski
Tauranga airport is a quick 5 minute taxi/uber ride from our house. Auckland airport 2 1/2 hours depending on traffic.
What does the Mount have to offer?? Firstly the most beautiful stretch of golden sand beach, regularly winning top beach of New Zealand, swim, surf, sunbathe. Enjoy a walk along the new coastal boardwalk all the way down to the Mount. Within a 5 minute walk you can exhaust the kids at the very new skate park or Moa park, enjoy a coffee along the Central Parade shops, grab groceries at Mount New World or attend your favourite sporting events at Blake Park (Cricket, Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Tennis). There are over 10 different golf courses to explore around the area.
Drive or walk into the Mount for a mecca of cafe and dining options, night life and boutique shopping. Admire the giant cruise ships during their visits in port. A must do is to walk to the top of Mauao (The Mount) for stunning panoramic views that go on forever, or take a stroll around the base enjoying wildlife, sea air and lush Pohutukawa trees.
Shopping more your thing?? Bayfair is the largest shopping mall in Tauranga and will easily charm you for a day, just 10 min drive. Finish your day with a soak at the Mount Hot Pools, all naturally heated water right under the Mount. Every holiday must include a tasty ice cream in a waffle cone from Kopenhagen ice cream parlour (across the road from Mount Hot Pools). Always popular
Keen to explore the area and a little further?? Papamoa hills is a great family friendly, although uphill, walk to enjoy views along the coastline and inland. McClaren falls has a stunning waterfall, lake, cafe and animal farm (Marshalls Animal Park), as well as glow worms at night. Kewpie Cruises, enjoy a one hour scenic cruise around the harbour and surrounding chanels. Book a dolphin boat tour, fishing charter, skydive, or trike motorbike tour. Further away in Rotorua (45 minute drive) is the mecca of outdoor adrenaline and family fun. Gondola up the mountain and ride the 4 amazing new luge tracks or sky swing, Ziplining above untouched forest with Canopy Tours, roll down a hill inside a giant ball at Zorb, experience kiwi culture at one of the many Maori culture attractions, have a laugh with the kids at A-Maze-Me getting lost in their cleverly grown hedge maze, fall in love with the lion family at Paradise Valley park, get adrenaline rushing while riding the many trails at the redwood forests or simply enjoy a bushwalk amongst the giant trees, relax along Rotoruas lake front and dine along Eat Street.
If you are a Hobbiton fan, even if you're not, this place is 200% worth visiting. Matamata is a one hour drive where you can either choose to drive yourself out to the site of Hobbiton or be driven out on a bus with other tourists. The gardens, houses and setting are amazing, better than the movie and still very much a top attraction for many regardless if you're a fan or not. You can enjoy a meal or a beverage out there too. Also new to the tour is a hobbit house which you can walk through.
