This delightful cottage can willingly accommodate up to 4 guests, offering two elegantly furnished bedrooms. Shut eye comes easily with the tranquil ambiance and the added comfort of premium linens and furnishings.

Enjoy the scenic beauty from the outdoor area at Amaroo Cottage or put your feet up near the indoor slow combustion fireplace, magnifying the cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The space is designed for both brief and long-term stays, making it optimal for travel enthusiasts or digital nomads.
A covered ‘carport’ parking for one car is next to the cottage. The long driveway can easily fit at least 3 cars. No need to park on the street.
“Amaroo” is about a 4 minutes drive to Blackheath train station. It is 1.4 km walk to Blackheath village shops. Take a stroll into the village and visit any of the numerous cafés, restaurants, galleries and bakeries, or meander throughout the old cinema-turned-antique market. The famous Govetts Leap Lookout is only 4 minutes away by car, why not see the sunrise or sunset from there overlooking the Gross Valley Wilderness and Bridal Veil Falls.
The house is also a short drive to the most popular attractions in the Blue Mountains, the Three Sisters and Scenic World. The Jenolan Caves, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens, Katoomba, Leura, and Wentworth Falls are all also easily accessible by car on the Great Western Highway.

Guests have access to the whole house & garden, with the exception of the garden shed, as it is used for storage.
One bag of complimentary firewood, fire-starters and matches are provided during the months of May - August. Additional bags of firewood and kindling are available from the Blackheath IGA or any of the service stations along the highway. Otherwise there is ducted central heating throughout the cottage to keep you toasty warm!
Please note there is no air-conditioning at the house. However, there are portable fans for the bedrooms provided during summer and the cottage does catch lovely breezes all year with the windows open.
Sorry, absolutely N O cats and N O dogs allowed due to the property not being fully fenced.
The cottage is next to a public reserve bushland. We ask all guests to be respectful of each other's peace and privacy and be mindful of noise before 8am and after 10pm.
Bedding & Linen - all beds will be made with quality linen before your arrival including electric blankets, doonas and pillows, bath towels, bathmats and hand towels for the bathroom and tea towels for the kitchen.
There is no washing machine at the property however this is a laundromat nearby.
Please note - all long weekends are a minimum 3-night stay, all public holidays are charged at the Weekend Tariff and Easter is a minimum 4-night stay.
