Hmmm, I think a nice little time out is what we need. How about searching for a little cottage in the woods where we can spend some time together. No tasks. No to-do list. No chores. Just a place where we can relax together. Maybe a place by a pond or some hiking trails, or maybe a place where we can get out in a field and run around and play some games. Also, make sure it’s non-smoking and pet free. Oh, and could you see if there was a place where we could grill out and maybe roast some marshmallows and sit around and just be. And, I know this is a stretch, but could you find one that was adjoining a national park with hiking trails. That would be fantastic! It would be really nice if it was affordable, too. Maybe then we could afford to spend three nights and really come home refreshed. Could you see if you could find such a place?

This is our second time to stay at this wonderful, relaxing cabin. The outside to the inside screams relaxation. This time we were able to meet the host, they were wonderful. We will be back.
It was our third time staying in The Wilderness. We like the remote area with pond in front. The look and feel of it is peaceful. It is a great getaway for a quiet rest.
This place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway the cabin was just as pictured but just better in person super cozy it rained the whole time we were here so we didn’t get to walk the trails like we wanted to but I definitely will be back and try another cabin on the property the property manager is very nice and easy to communicate with
My partner and I had such a wonderful time celebrating his birthday here. It’s close to local restaurants and hiking trails, and the cottage itself is so cute. Very comfortable bed to rest in after running around all day. It’s a great place to relax, unplug, and get away for a while. Bobbie and Ray were so hospitable, we couldn’t have asked for better hosts! We didn’t want to leave, and we hope to be back soon!
I loved this cabin, especially the front porch! It was a great place to sit and take in the quiet peacefulness of the beautiful environment. Debbie and Ray, thank you for your warm welcome and for being available during my stay. I will be back!
The cabin was perfect for 2 people! Located off the beaten path was a plus for us as we were looking for a place to enjoy the quiet of the country. The bed was more comfortable than any bed we have ever slept on in a hotel. The kitchen was accomodating for what we needed. We used the grill out by the pond the night we cooked dinner and enjoyed the swing while our dinner cooked. The cabin was decorated with cute antique furniture upstairs and the loveseat/chaise in the living room was perfect for us to snuggle up on while watching tv. The owner had "hotel" size toiletries incase something was forgotten. We even had a couple visits from the dogs during our stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
The cabin was well maintained and decorated. Everything was in working order. The surrounding area of the cabin was very beautiful and peaceful. The communication with our host was quick. We will be back!
Me and my wife stayed the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It was great to sit and relax on the porch, fish in the pond, and see the falls just a few minutes away. Glad we had cool neighbors, no issues sharing the fire pit area and fishing in the pond. It was worth the price in our opinion and would give it our recommendation.
This is a little slice of paradise. The quiet was exactly what my husband and I needed . I will be recommending this to my friends and family looking for a quiet retreat!!
Property nice, and the little green cabin next to it, it looked so adorable. It was all good. Loved the quiteness of the area, and only wish we had more time to stay.
Perfect for a weekend getaway to rest and relax. Cabin was lovely inside, very clean, comfortable bed. Good quality bed sheets and towels. Peaceful location in the woods. Screen porch great for reading and listening to nature sounds. Gracious owner who was very accommodating and kind. Would definitely book again.
Very peaceful getaway for my husband and I. We are workaholics and this place made it easy to relax and get our minds off of work. We needed to get some much needed rest. Very cute place and comfy bed. We will be back.
Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The cabin is well taken care of and loved. You can tell the owners put time and effort into decorating. Sitting on the porch looking at the pond was very restful. Close location to DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nothing fancy but great for a quiet weekend getaway. Bed was comfy. Couch was relaxing with tv. Front porch chairs were comfy to sit and listen to nature.
Peaceful and relaxing
Stayed at the property for our anniversary weekend. It was very clean. I have back problems but bed was very comfortable.
Owners were very nice and accomadating.
If your looking for peace and quiet with just the sounds of birds and frogs and other wildlife then this is your destination. The cabin had a rustic homey feel. Plenty of reception for my phone just in case of emergency. Drank coffee by the fire pit and listened to the turkeys gobble one morning. Just a wholey beautiful time. We will be going back again.
