At Magic Reef Bungalows, relax by an outdoor pool or hit the beach where you can enjoy snorkelling. Each apartment features free WiFi, a furnished balcony and a Select Comfort bed. Comforts include premium bedding and a pillow menu. Other touches available are a stovetop and a separate bath and shower. The Private bathroom is not en suite and housekeeping is available once per stay.
Magic Reef Bungalows offers 12 air-conditioned accommodations with laptop-compatible safes and complimentary bottles of water. Rooms open to furnished balconies or patios. Each accommodation is individually furnished and decorated. Select Comfort beds feature premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. amazing place to stay for a quiet relaxing waterfront holiday. The resort is well managed by a welcoming, friendly and helpful team. With both the beach and the pool at your front door what more could you ask for.

This property is a hidden gem and always a pleasure to stay at. The resorts location is perfect and very central and the villas are fantastic. Amazing sunsets from the lanai on the waters edge . We love it !!

The Magic reef bungalows were absolutely amazing. The staff were awesome and ever so helpful, the facilities were efficient and very clean. We especially loved the outdoor feel of the bath and shower. The location was ideal, close to the airport and yummy restaurants. Bonus that we were able to swim/snorkel just off the beach. The weather was always so beautiful on this side of the island as well. This made our trip that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying again in the future!

beautiful but loud

My partner and I stayed in an absolute beach front bungalow. It was a cute room right on the beach. We were hoping to sleep to the sound of the waves, but unfortunately, the veranda was right next to our room and people were up drunk and obnoxious till after midnight. Instead of hearing waves, we mostly heard loud drunk people. I would highly recommend this hotel as long as there's not a large group also staying there at the same time.

amazing location and high quality accomodation

Being on the beach was amazing and having town only 5 min away on the scooter was very convenient as we were close enough to zip down when we needed something yet far away enough to avoid traffic and noise. The staff were outstanding, and so friendly. They serviced the room at convenient times, not rushing us out of the room early, as was at other motels we stayed at. A very high standard of cleanliness and completely bug proof, thank goodness! I would especially like to mention one of the staff members called Grace who was extraordinarily helpful at booking our dinners and activities accessing anything we needed and making it effortless and never a problem. She was so kind. Another great thing was the air conditioning which was part of the package, unlike other motels where we had to pay for it on a daily basis. Overall our stay in Rarotonga was made better by staying at Magic Reef Bungalows, and I will be back. God Bless.

Luxury & privacy with Resort benefits

Absolutely loved it! We had the privacy of being in our own self-contained bungalow with the benefits of a resort with the use of the beautiful pool, sun-loungers & serviced rooms. Even though it was fully booked at one stage of our stay it felt like we were the only people there. Complete with snorkeling in the lagoon right outside - definitely a must for those who need a bit of R&R

Great place for a holiday!!

Great place for a relaxing holiday. The staff were terrific!!! It was far enough from town to feel private but not far enough to be isolated. The bungalows were perfect, and we loved the outdoor bathroom. None of the rooms are far from the beach, so all in all it was a perfect place for a holiday.

We rented e-bikes and were able to get to town, dive shop and snorkling reefs just fine. I felt safe waking and biking along the roadsThere are 6 good restaurants within walking distance (15 min). Staff was very friendly and helpful. The bungalos are clean and well maintained. I enjoyed the garden, bungalo porch and beachfront hammock.

We found Magic Reef to be an absolutely ideal resort property. The bungalows are very well designed and appointed and each has a view of the beach. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the waterfront gazebo and deck area was a lovely place to spend time watching the waves crash on the reef in the distance. Cars were available for rent on site which was very convenient and there were restaurants within walking distance along the beach - how great is it to walk along a sand beach to a table overlooking a Raro sunset? Magic Reef shows great pride of ownership and the staff is super helpful. There are three new beautiful bamboo bungalows with more than one bedrooms just being finished in the same design - which build on your vision of what a South Pacific ideal vacation place would be. You simply won’t find a nicer place on Raro.

Lovely well equipped bungalows on the west side of the island. Good location. Clockwise and Anticlockwise bus runs past resort every 30 mins I think it is. Or you can hire a car or scooter. Nothing is far. Our bungalow was closest to the beach. Balcony with sun lounges. Comfy bed. Free wifi was a bonus. Filtered water and ice free for guests. Nice pool and outdoor area. Beach unfortunately isn’t for swimming due to the reef scattered through it and the shallowness. I walked out to the breakers one day at low water, was good. They also have snorkel gear and reef shoes free for guests to use. Lawrence and Simonne are excellent, and will help with anything you need, also Jayne is there in the office as well, she can hook you up with anything needed. They also have electric hire cars and bikes. It’s a very relaxing place to be. You can do a lot, or you can just relax in a sun chair and do nothing. We had an outdoor shower and sunken bath at the rear of our bungalow, brilliant idea. We will definitely be visiting again.

Hidden gem. Felt like a home away from home. The local staff were very friendly. Pool was lovely. Perfect sunset location. Very quiet, boutique experience. Amazing to fall asleep to the waves. The cabins were superb offering an authentic Polynesian experience with unique outdoor bathrooms. Only negative was not good for snorkelling or swimming straight off the beach. However just jump on some hire scooters, or catch an bus and pop down the road for Amazing snorkelling experiences. The location also offered hire EVs and electric bikes. Also free snorkeling gear.
